2 week time allocation between Thailand and Cambodia

Our take

Hey there! It sounds like you’re in for an epic adventure! With two weeks to explore Thailand and Cambodia, you have some exciting options ahead. Consider the must-see Angkor Wat in Cambodia, along with the rich history of the Killing Fields. In Thailand, you might choose between the vibrant culture of Chiang Mai and the stunning beaches of Krabi.

Hi,

I’m in Vietnam right now and after I finish in Hanoi I should have 2 weeks left before flying out of Bangkok and I need help how to best allocate my time.

Points of interest would be Angkor Wat in Cambodia and possibly the killing fields and the Khmel Rogue history in general. And in Thailand Chiang Mai and/or Krabi before spending last few days in Bangkok before catching my flight.

Should I focus just on Thailand and see both Chiang Mai and Krabi or should I try go squeeze in both countries? Would it be worth it to fly to Siem Reap just to see Angkor Wat for a day and then fly to Bangkok and try to see both the south and north or should I fly from Hanoi straight to Chiang Mai?

Another option would be to take away a week from my Vietnam itinerary where I have 1 week for Da Lat to Da Nang, 1 week Da Nang to Hanoi on a bike and 2 weeks for Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Sapa and Halong bay.
