A journey to Annapurna Base Camp, spring 2026

Our take

Join me on the most epic adventure of my life: a journey to Annapurna Base Camp in spring 2026! Coming from the tropics, I was mesmerized by the breathtaking snowy Himalayan peaks. Over seven days, we trekked through stunning landscapes, even braving a snowstorm at base camp. The warmth and friendliness of the Nepali and Gurung communities made the freezing temperatures feel like home. With each step, I discovered not just the beauty of the mountains but also the joy of connection.

No doubt the best trip of my life. Came from the tropics so I have never seen snow before. Seeing snowy Himalayan mountain peaks was a magnificent experience.

Took us seven days to trek the entire Annapurna Base Camp route. Was stuck in a snowstorm at the base camp but weather was otherwise okay, a lot of hail storm and snow storm above 3,000 meters, but visibility was okay down below.

The Nepali and Gurung communities are some of the most friendliest people I have ever met in my travels. Always full of happiness and warmth, despite the freezing mountain cold. Felt like home for me.

What a country.
