Acatenango Hike Compared to 1 Day Inca Trail

Our take

Just returned from an epic trip to Peru, where I tackled the 1-day Inca Trail hike! While it had its tiring moments, I found it manageable compared to some other adventures I've experienced. The only hiccup was dealing with altitude sickness in Cusco, which left me feeling a bit queasy. Now, I'm curious to hear from fellow adventurers: how does the Acatenango hike stack up against the 1-day Inca Trail? Share your thoughts and insights on these incredible hikes!

I just got back from a trip to Peru where I did the 1 day Inca Trail hike. While it was tiring at parts, I didn't find the hike too difficult compared to other hikes I've done. Only issue was being in Cusco, where I did get a little sick from the altitude (mainly nausea). For anyone who has done both hikes, how does the hike up Acatenango compare to the 1 day Inca Trail hike?
