Advice for Santiago Chile
Our take
Are you ready for an epic adventure in Santiago, Chile? As a seasoned digital nomad with over nine years of experience, you're stepping into a vibrant city filled with culture and excitement. But let's talk about the chill factor! Concerns about heating are totally valid, especially after your experiences in Colombia and Brazil. Many buildings in Santiago do have central heating, though it’s wise to check. Most Airbnbs may rely on space heaters, so be sure to confirm before booking.
I have been a digital nomad/full time traveller for over 9 years. I always thought Chile was more chill and now that I am also older and more chill I wanna go, one issue I am scared of that other parts of south america have...not proper heating. I have frozen my ass off in Colombia and Brazil since they don't have proper heating and I get cold super fast. I know Chile gets cold especially at night. Do some buildings have central heating? Do most airbnbs that have heating listed use space heaters? Any advice with this would be really helpful, I will probably go around Sept/Oct and stay 6 months.
