AirAsia keeps cancelling and rescheduling flights
Our take
I booked flights from Melbourne to Siem Reap, with a stop in Kuala Lumpur, with AirAsia back in February for the end of May.
It was all good until 6th March when an email from them arrived saying my flight was cancelled citing “operational reasons”. I had the option to ask for another flight, done. Thought i was good then.
A second email arrived some days later and a third one just 2 days ago. All of them are the same. They cancel the flight, reschedule for another but they give me the option to change it.
Has this happened to somebody else? Any advice?
P.S.
I can ask for a refund but the company says i need to process it with booking.com since i made the reservation with them. The problem is, Booking.com's customer support doesn't answer me unless my booking is scheduled in the next 5 days, because they're prioritizing customers affected by the conflict in the Middle East.

- Flight to Japan cancelled, no refund yet. rebook now or risk price increases?Hello everyone, Before the conflicts began, I booked a flight through Booking from Frankfurt to Tokyo with Emirates. My partner and I are planning to spend two weeks in Japan, and I’d like to propose to her there. The problem is that our flight, which included a layover in Dubai, was cancelled by the airline a little over a week and a half ago. They haven’t been able to offer me an alternative flight. I’m still waiting for a refund for that first flight, which is taking a long time, and Booking’s customer service is terrible. They speak neither French nor English, and most of the time it feels like you’re talking to a glitchy AI. I’m hesitant to book new tickets before receiving the refund for the first ones. On one hand, I don’t really want to spend another €2,000+, but on the other hand, I’m worried that prices will keep rising as our travel date approaches (we’re planning to leave around the week of May 11). submitted by /u/artchebelumIsa [link] [comments]
- Is anyone here still experiencing payment problems with Air Asia?Planning to rebook today.Hi! Everyone, would really appreciate it if you could take a time to help me with this problem Im currently dealing. Had a payment issues with Air Asia last monday, April 20th, where my card was charged but no email confirmation/itinerary sent to me until now. I filed a case thru AskBo and said that I have to wait after 7 days as the case is still under investigation. While waiting for the status of my 1st booking, I plan to rebook since Bo said that it is generally safe to rebook so that I will not run out of seats. With this, I just want to confirm if anyone here still experiencing problems booking thru the website or thru the app? I wanted to rebook now but still scared of encountering the same problem again 😭💔. Thank you so much in advance everyone!!!! Godbless 😇🤗 submitted by /u/Cute_Fail4090 [link] [comments]
