Am i eligible for any compensation?
Our take
Traveling can be an adventure filled with unexpected twists, especially when delays occur! If your flight from Vienna to Delhi is delayed by about four hours and you have planned appointments during a long layover, you might be wondering about your eligibility for compensation. While rules can vary, it's essential to know that compensation policies typically depend on the circumstances of the delay. Even with a planned layover, you may still have options.
So i don’t usually fly with connections (that’s why I’m not sure about the rules), but this time I decided to pick a flight with a long layover in Delhi, so I can check out the city and I made some plans and have appointments during the day. My flight from Vienna to Delhi is already delayed approximately 4h, which means I’ll loose some of the appointments I made, but (hopefully) I’ll get to my final destination on time. Does it mean that I can’t get any compensation or should I still try? I read the rules, but they don’t say anything about planned layovers, so I’m assuming I’m left on my own?
