Anyone know about Japan shorepass??

Our take

Hey everyone! I’m reaching out for insights about Japan’s shorepass. I hold a Chinese passport, a Canada study permit, and an American visa. On May 12th, I’ll be traveling from Halifax to Calgary, then to Narita Airport in Japan, before heading to Shanghai on the same day with WestJet. I’m anxious about whether I can obtain a visa from Montreal in time, as I’ve heard mixed info about the shorepass. If anyone has experience or advice, I’d love to hear it! Thanks!

Background: I have Canada study permit and American visa, Chinese passport holder

I’ll be traveling from Halifax to Calgary to Japan Narita airport( those are connected) and another flight from Japan to Shanghai the same day I arrive in Japan.( operated by Westjet) date is May 12th

( I don’t know if it’s possible to get a visa from Montreal, the timeline I assume is 7 days to Montreal, 10days or more to process, 7days from Montreal to Halifax) it’s conservative but Canada post I don’t believe you!🥲

I am in panic now because I cannot get a evisa because of the round trip…

I checked some laws and the information from the united airlines, the shorepass may granted but I’m still worrying…
