Anyone visit the Uzbek desert fortresses in June?
Our take
Hey adventurous explorers! 🌟 I’m planning an exciting trip to Uzbekistan this June, with an itinerary that includes Tashkent, Khiva, Bukhara, and Samarkand. I know June can be quite sizzling, with Khiva and Bukhara hitting around 100°F (38°C). However, I'm curious about the temperatures at the desert fortresses, like Ayaz Qala, during this time. They might be even hotter! If anyone has ventured to these stunning desert sites in June or other summer months, I’d love to hear your insights and experiences! 🌞
I'm considering a trip to Uzbekistan this June with a routing of Tashkent -> Khiva -> Bukhara -> Samarkand -> Tashkent
I understand that June can be quite hot in Uzbekistan, and the travel weather sites show that Khiva and Bukhara can reach 100 F (38 C). What I'm not finding is weather information for the desert fortress (such as Ayaz Qala) that we would visit as a daytrip from Khiva. I would expect these might be even hotter than Khiva, but how much so? I'm hoping there's someone on this forum who has visited the desert fortresses in June or other summer month and can comment.
