Are late night intercity buses no longer a thing?
Our take
Are late-night intercity buses becoming a thing of the past? It’s hard to forget those adventurous trips, like the one I took over 15 years ago, when a Greyhound bus whisked me from Houston to Austin in the dead of night. Fast forward to today, and I noticed that the latest bus options now seem to wrap up by early evening. Is this shift a sign of changing trends or perhaps a lingering effect of the pandemic? Let’s explore what’s happening with late-night travel!
I can remember (admittedly at least 15 years ago) taking a Greyhound from Houston to Austin that left somewhere around midnight and got me in in the middle of the night. I just looked for a ticket on a weeknight from Houston to Austin and the latest one appeared to be 5:30 in the evening. Is this a trend? A covid thing?
