Balkan music festivals: Is Guca Trumpet fest in Serbia worth going?
Our take
Are you ready to explore the vibrant world of Balkan music festivals? The Guca Trumpet Festival in Serbia is a legendary celebration of brass music and culture, known for its lively atmosphere. However, if you prefer a more relaxed vibe without the chaos of heavy drinking, you might consider festivals like the Nisville Jazz Festival, which also features incredible performances and a welcoming crowd. Since you enjoyed EXIT Fest, trust your instincts, and prioritize your enjoyment as you dive into this rich cultural experience!
or is there another you'd recommend for a late 30s black female who doesn't drink but loves to dance? I went to Exit fest 2 years ago, had a lot of fun, and met so many incredibly kind, generous people. But I'm afraid to set my expectations too high. I dont want to be around crazy drunkenness like what happens duping Saint Patrick's Day in the US or Santacon. And if I can avoid it, I wouldnt be bathing in cigarette smoke all day. The trip I'm already planning would be long if I add it in but if it's worth it, that's okay!
