Budapest, my first (but def not last) time

Our take

Budapest has stolen my heart during my first visit, and it’s already a top contender for my favorite European city, alongside Paris (yes, I know it’s a classic!). The city feels like an open-air museum, with stunning architecture and fierce lion sculptures at every turn. From amazing shopping and antique stores to invigorating river cruise tours, there's so much to explore. I even visited the Museum of Terror, which sheds light on Hungary's challenging past.

This is now easily in my top two european cities to visit, the other being Paris (which I know is clichéd but whatever, its a world class tourist destination for good reasons).

There’s stunning architecture and fierce looking military and lion sculptures everywhere you look, its like walking through an open air museum. Great shopping, tons of antique stores, river cruise tours, thrift markets, museums (one pic of an exhibit from the Museum of Terror, which tells all about both the Nazi and Soviet occupation eras in Hungary).

Will certainly return in the future
