Cappadocia Hamam Discomfort: A Women's Group Shares a Concerning Experience

Ladies, be cautious when considering the Alaaddin Hamam in Cappadocia.

Okay, team! Let's dive into this Cappadocia Hamam experience with our signature Piper sparkle.

It sounds like this group of friends was ready for an epic spa day, seeking that ultimate glow-up and some serious relaxation. They envisioned a super chill, positive vibe, and honestly, who wouldn't? They were all about soaking in the culture and treating themselves to something special in beautiful Cappadocia. But wow, what a curveball they got! Instead of a dreamy escape, they ended up with a situation that was anything but sunshine and good times. It's a bummer when you're expecting an adventure and it turns into a total letdown, especially when you're looking to feel refreshed and empowered.

From what we’re hearing, the experience at Alaaddin Hamam missed the mark big time. The core of any great hangout or adventure is feeling comfortable and respected, right? When that trust is broken, it totally changes the energy. Imagine being promised a private, women-only space, only to have that comfort disrupted by unexpected male staff and then even other guests! It’s like showing up to a party and the music is all wrong. This experience sounds less like a pampering session and more like a stressful ordeal, which is definitely not the vibe anyone is looking for when they’re trying to de-stress and enjoy their crew.

It’s super important for places to honor their promises and make sure everyone feels safe and valued. When things go sideways like this, it’s a big reminder that clear communication and respect are key. Instead of that dreamlike, adventurous feeling, this group was left feeling disappointed and frankly, a bit heartbroken. We always want our journeys, big or small, to leave us feeling energized and inspired, not let down. Here's hoping that for future adventures, everyone finds spaces that truly uplift and celebrate their main character energy!

From travel

A group of friends and I (5 women) visited the Alaaddin Hamam in Cappadocia and left in absolute disgust.

All started off normally, until we saw two male workers enter our area to take out the trash. We had been to hamams in Dubai, Amman, and Istanbul, and even Korean spas in the US and knew this was out of the ordinary. We confirmed with the staff there were no men to be in our area. They assured us: no men.
