Carry on allowance

Our take

Hey everyone! I'm gearing up for an exciting journey from YYZ to YVR, then on to SYD and MEL! My flights with Air Canada to SYD and Virgin Australia to MEL are all booked under one ticket. I’m curious about the carry-on allowance since Air Canada doesn’t enforce a weight limit. Will I get to enjoy that unlimited carry-on perk with Virgin Australia as well, or will I need to stick to their 7kg limit? I’d appreciate any insights you have. Thank you!

Hi everyone! I’m soon doing YYZ -> YVR -> SYD -> MEL. The YYZ -> SYD flights are run by Air Canada and SYD -> MEL is run by Virgin Australia. I booked it all under one ticket through Air Canada. My question is, since Air Canada doesn’t have a carry on weight limit, what happens with Virgin? Does the unlimited carry on limit carry over? Or will I have to adhere to 7kg throughout the flight? Thank you!!
