Planning an early morning flight with kids can be an adventure!

Traveling with kids under seven, especially with an early morning flight, can feel like a big mission, but we're here to help you plan an epic adventure rather than a stressful scramble. Changi Airport is practically a destination in itself, so let's break down your options to make sure your journey is filled with sunshine and good vibes!

Considering your 9:30 am flight and the need to check out of your hotel by Friday noon, you've got a fantastic opportunity to turn the wait into part of the fun! Instead of worrying about an early morning taxi, let's embrace the energy of Changi! While budget hotel options might be scarce, think of the airport as your playground for the evening. For your bags, Changi offers convenient luggage storage services. This is a total game-changer! You can securely store your checked and carry-on bags, freeing you up to explore the airport without being weighed down. And yes, once your bags are stored, you can absolutely head airside to explore! This gives you access to more of the airport's wonders and is a brilliant way to keep the kids entertained.

Now, about finding a place for the kids to get their much-needed rest. While Changi doesn't have designated "sleep zones" for a full 6-7 hours of uninterrupted slumber, it's surprisingly kid-friendly for downtime. Many lounges offer comfortable seating areas where you can relax. Some terminals even have quiet corners or rest areas that can provide a more peaceful spot for the little ones to nap. You can also explore the transit hotels within the airport if you decide a more structured sleep is needed, though you mentioned budget is a factor. The key is to be flexible and creative! Think of it as a cozy airport campout. For your checked bags, you'll be able to collect them from storage and head to the check-in counter around 6:00 am when it opens. Srilankan Air's policy means no early bag drop, but this timing works perfectly with your plan to explore the airport beforehand.

The beauty of Changi is its ability to transform a waiting period into an adventure. You can explore the stunning Jewel Changi Airport with its incredible Rain Vortex, discover themed gardens, or let the kids burn off some energy in the play areas. The airport is designed to be engaging and exciting, making it a fantastic place to spend those extra hours. Remember to keep the energy high and the mood positive! Your goal is to create a memorable experience for your family, and with a little planning and a lot of adventurous spirit, Changi Airport is the perfect place to make that happen. You've got this, and it's going to be an epic start to your travels!
