Our Take: Chile Coast to Coast: Your 3-Week Adventure Awaits!

Hey adventure seekers! We’ve got a dream trip on our minds – exploring the entire length of Chile in just three weeks, with a magical detour to Easter Island! This sounds like an epic quest, and we’re totally here for it. The idea of diving deep into Chile's diverse landscapes, from the arid north to the breathtaking south, all while soaking up the unique vibes of Rapa Nui, is pure sunshine for our travel-loving hearts. It’s all about embracing the unknown, making unforgettable memories, and living that main character energy as we journey across this incredible country.

Planning a trip like this, especially with a week dedicated to Easter Island (which includes transit time, so let’s be real, it’s a good chunk!), is definitely ambitious but totally doable. The suggestion of splitting the remaining two weeks between the north and the south is a fantastic starting point. Imagine this: a week in the north, exploring the otherworldly Atacama Desert, stargazing under impossibly clear skies, and feeling the pulse of ancient cultures. Then, hop over to Easter Island for that unforgettable week of mystery and wonder. Finally, a week in the south, perhaps exploring Patagonia's glaciers, hiking through lush national parks, and feeling the invigorating chill of the southern winds. This itinerary is packed with potential for incredible experiences and will give you a taste of Chile’s vast beauty.

To make this dream a reality, preparation is key! Think about booking your flights between regions in advance, especially during December, which is peak summer season in Chile. Consider internal flights to maximize your time; Chile is a long country, and while bus travel is an option, flights will be your best friend for covering so much ground in three weeks. For the north, think about tours that take you to the Moon Valley, Tatio Geysers, and salt flats. For the south, places like Torres del Paine National Park are absolute must-sees. And of course, for Easter Island, immerse yourself in the Moai statues, learn about the Rapa Nui culture, and enjoy the stunning coastal scenery. This journey promises to be a vibrant tapestry of experiences, and we can’t wait to hear all about your incredible adventure!

Hello travellers! It is a dream of mine to travel Chile end to end. Can you please offer any advice for the best way to make a north-south journey?

Timeframe would be 3 weeks in December, accounting for approx. 1 week visiting Easter Island (inluding transit).
