China & SEA Tour Advice

Hi, me and my friend (both 22F and from New Zealand) are considering travelling on a tour to either China, Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia. I was wondering if anyone has been on a tour that was really good value/cheap in any of these countries. Also open to doing any of these countries independently if thatâs better value than tours!
We're interested in food, arts, history, culture, and we don't particularly mind about beaches, but we do like action type stuff e.g. water activities, and don't really care about the party/drinking scene.
We prefer having some free time (not fully scheduled the whole time), and are open to paying a bit more if itâs actually worth it. Planning to go around August.
Specifically for China:
We're interested in doing the 11 day Unbeatable China tour by AVG Travels (AUD$999).
If anyone has been on it previously, is it possible to get more information regarding the time stamps for the itinerary so I can see how long we spend on each activity?
How many hours are actually spent at attractions vs buses/factories?
I looked on the website's itinerary but I'm seeing a lot of reviews saying that a lot of the time was spent in the factories?
If anyone has any good tour recommendations (or ones to avoid) would be really helpful!

- Where in Asia in September?Hi all, I'm considering a destination for a short 7-10 day trip (excluding travel time) at the end of September as I have two weeks leave them (Sep 20 - Oct 2). As this is not a lot of time, it's most practical I visit Asia to minimise my transit time and maximise my holiday. I'm really interested in Mongolia, but it doesn't seem like there are any group tours that fit my dates. Uzbekistan is another place of high interest, but also not sure if it's worth it for the time frame and travel time is starting to push it a bit. Considering India or Phillipines, though worried about the weather in the Phillipines. Any suggestions for destinations welcome. Likewise, good tour agencies. I'm considering Intrepid or G Adventures, but apprehensive. Don't want a big group. I'm 40, so I don't want to be with only people in their 20s, and likewise don't want to be with only people in their 60s. Happy for a mixed bag of ages though. - Trip to China - itenerary and doâs/dontâsAs the title states my wife and I are looking at doing a trip to China in the second half of the year (thinking October some time). Weâve previously done Europe for 3 months. This trip would be about 2-3 weeks - we are undecided at this stage just depends on how much we need to move from place to place. Weâve done some travel and are happy to walk a fair bit to get around. Some things definitely in our rough plan are pandas in chengdu, the Great Wall, the avatar mountains and heavens gate. We love culture shock when we travel and traditional monument type things, also love experiencing culture through food, the natural environment and unique experiences. Have a budget of about 15k-20k so not a lot is off the table. Would appreciate any thoughts, tips, locations and activities that are your âmust doâsâ.
