Okay, squad! Let's dive into this epic Denver loop adventure! It sounds like you're ready to trade the usual hustle for some real-deal cowboy charm and breathtaking peaks, and we are SO here for that energy! Flying into Denver is a fantastic starting point for uncovering a different side of the US, one that's bursting with adventure and authentic vibes. You're definitely in the right region for that rugged, picturesque experience you're craving. Think wide-open skies, the spirit of the Wild West, and national parks that will make you feel like the main character in your own incredible story.

Your proposed route is totally giving us a serious glow-up! Looping from Denver through Laramie, Jackson, and into the majestic Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks is an absolute winner. This journey packs in all the elements you're looking for: that cowboy feel in towns like Laramie and Cody, the jaw-dropping beauty of the Tetons, and the wild wonders of Yellowstone. The drive between these spots is where the real magic happens – stunning landscapes unfolding before your eyes, making every leg of the journey feel like part of the grand adventure. While you're in the Tetons, consider basing yourself in Jackson for a vibrant town experience or Teton Village for stunning mountain access. For Yellowstone, gateway towns like West Yellowstone or Gardiner offer great options, keeping you close to the park's wonders.

Now, let's talk about making this loop even more unstoppable! Cody is a brilliant stop for that authentic cowboy culture – definitely lean into its history and charm. Fort Collins is a super cool spot to experience a lively college town vibe with a fantastic craft beer scene and access to stunning natural areas like Horsetooth Mountain Open Space. It’s a great way to inject some modern energy before heading back to Denver. As for missing anything, while your route is already packed with incredible highlights, if you have a little extra time and a strong desire for more small-town charm, consider a brief detour to a place like Estes Park on your way back towards Denver, especially if you want to get a taste of Rocky Mountain National Park's grandeur. It's a bit of a different vibe than the cowboy country, but it adds another layer of natural beauty to your loop. And don't even get us started on Halloween in Denver – that's going to be an epic way to cap off your adventure, full of spooky fun and community spirit! This trip is shaping up to be an absolute dream!

Got some Finnair vouchers and want to use them to see a different side of the US - not NYC/LA/SF. Looking for something more rural and authentic: cowboy feel, national parks, small towns. But also don’t want to end up in the US equivalent of Slough or Harrow, if that makes sense.

Finnair limits us a bit on airports, so we’re flying into Denver. Plan is to rent a car and loop from there.
