Day trip from Montreal but only if I can see the Parliament building

Our take

Hey everyone! I'm planning a summer day trip from Montreal to Ottawa, and I’m super excited to see the Parliament building. However, I’ve heard it’s currently under renovation, and I’m curious about how much of the building is visible right now. Is it mostly covered in scaffolding, or can you still catch a glimpse of its stunning architecture? Since round-trip train tickets from Montreal are over $120, I want to ensure it’s worth the trip. Thanks for your help!

Hello everyone. I am going to Montreal in the Summer and would like to take a day trip to Ottawa. However, the highlight of the visit will be seeing the Parliament building and since I heard it is under renovation, I am not sure how visible it is at this time. How is it right now? Is it almost completely covered by scaffolding? Round trip train tickets from Montreal are over US$120 so I would rather visit only when I can see the building. Thanks
