Join me on a whirlwind day trip to Windermere in the stunning Lake District! 🚂 Despite the bus chaos that left us waiting at the station, we embraced the adventure and strolled to the pier, catching a glimpse of the charming World of Beatrix Potter along the way. 🐰 Our round-trip cruise on the lake was nothing short of refreshing, even though we had to adjust our plans due to a local festival.
 | Just had a bit of a chaotic day trip to Windermere (Lake District, UK) from Manchester! 🚂 The Experience: We waited ages for the bus at the station, but it just never showed up. Instead of waiting around, we decided to walk down to the pier. We got to pass the World of Beatrix Potter (Peter Rabbit museum) on the way. 🐰 We took a round-trip cruise on the lake which was incredibly refreshing. I had planned this to be my first post-partum hike, but unfortunately, a local festival had suspended most of the connecting buses, so we couldn't reach the trailheads. We ended up heading back to Manchester earlier than planned, but the lake air was worth it! [link] [comments] |
