Hey everyone! I'm currently in Egypt with a rental car and considering a road trip down to Aswan. I initially planned to visit Abu Simbel by car, but I’ve heard that travel between Aswan and Abu Simbel is now restricted to two scheduled convoys each day. Can anyone confirm if that’s true or share the latest updates? If it’s complicated, I might just plan to visit Abu Simbel on a future trip by plane. Looking forward to your insights!

I have a rental car in Egypt and maybe I will drive down to Aswan. Previously I had the plan to also visit Abu Simbel then (by car). However, from someone I have heard that travelling between Aswan and Abu Simbel is only possible in one of two scheduled convoys a day at the moment. Does anyone know if this is correct or what is the status? Otherwise I would probably visit in on an other trip by plane or so.
