Looking for the best place for a 10 day first time Europe trip in late October, early November with a group of 6. Trying to find a places with urban cities but a short plane ride to some good hiking spots and mountains So far I have:

Europe Bound: A First-Timer's Adventure Through Italy & Switzerland
Making my first trip overseas. I’m an experienced road tripper on the lower 48 but this will be a new experience. I have done some research but wanted the perspective of real people who have been there before Heading out in Early September. Fly into Milan. Planning on spending 3 days in Northern Italy. After that head up to the Jungfrau area of Switzerland to spend 3 days there. Then off to Germany for a couple days. Be visiting my Aunt and Uncle near Ansbach for a couple days. Thinking about stopping at the castle of Mad King Ludwig on the way up. After that head down to Austria to spend a day. Then it will be off to Slovenia to spend 4 full days. Then end the trip with a trip to Plitvance Lakes National Park before flying home out of Zagreb. Thoughts? I am having trouble narrowing down Italy. Sounds like the Dolomites will be difficult to fit in with going to Switzerland after. For my interests of Nature, history, and local culture Verona sounds like a must. Then either Lake Como or Venice. I have heard mixed reports on Venice. Some say it has one of the best preserved history you can find. Others says it’s overrated, overcrowded, and the canals stink. Looking for advice or suggestions on this 12 day mock up trip for late October or early November. Our group is semi large and it will be some people’s first time’s. Trying to finalize the details before booking. The community here also has great advice. Posted in her before so I took the critique and change our trip a little bit. Solo Europe Adventure: Seeking Your Expert Travel Tips!
Spending 18 days in Europe in Early to mid September. What do you experienced European travelers think of the current Itinerary? Traveling solo (forgive my spelling) Day 1 Land in Milan optional visit to the cathedral if time the transfer to Verona. Day 2 full day Verona with option to check out Lake Garda. Day 3 transfer to Lake Como and spend day there. Day 4 travel day ro Switzerland Day 5-7 Jungfrau region. Day in Lanturbrunnan day in Grindewald and a flex day Day 8 travel to Ansbach optional stop at the castle of mad king Ludwig Day 9-10 visit family near Ansbach Day 11 Travel to Ljubljana.
