Hey adventure seekers!

Alright, fellow adventurers, let's talk road trips! We've got a question from our amazing community about an epic journey from Tucson to Vegas, with a mandatory stop in the quirky, wild west town of Oatman. Last year, our intrepid traveler tackled this adventure in a compact car, and while it got the job done, it left them dreaming of more freedom to explore those rugged, rocky roads. So, the big question is: what kind of ride is best for this desert escapade?

When you're hitting the open road with a thirst for discovery, especially when those roads might get a little less paved and a lot more interesting, you want a car that’s got your back. For a trip like this, where you're craving that sense of "can't be stopped" exploration, we're leaning towards something with a bit more grit and capability than your average sedan. Think about an SUV, maybe something with a touch of all-wheel drive. This gives you that extra confidence to navigate those unpaved paths and rocky stretches without a second thought. It’s all about unlocking those hidden gems and truly embracing the spirit of adventure, making sure you can chase every exciting possibility that pops up along the way. This isn't just about getting from point A to point B; it's about the entire journey feeling like a main character moment!

Beyond the wheels, let’s fuel this epic adventure with some stellar stop suggestions! Oatman is already on the must-do list, and that’s fantastic – those wild burros and historic vibes are pure magic! But since you're on a mission for exploration, consider a detour to the stunning red rocks of Sedona. It’s a place where you can truly feel the energy of the earth and soak in some serious sunshine. Imagine hiking through breathtaking landscapes, feeling that positive glow, and making memories that are nothing short of spectacular. And as you cruise towards Vegas, don’t forget the charm of the historic Route 66 towns. Each one offers a unique slice of Americana, a chance to connect with history and maybe even snag some cool souvenirs. This trip is all about embracing the unexpected and making every mile count with your favorite people by your side. Let the good times roll!

Hi all! Next month when I'm in AZ, I'll be driving from Tucson to Las Vegas with my dad for 2-3 days, to visit Oatman along the way, and I'm not sure what car rental class type/category would be best. Last year, I did that trip myself(TUS>Lake Havasu>Oatman>Laughlin>Vegas) in a little Toyota corolla rental😂...never again! It wasn't bad, except for some roads that were rocky and I felt I couldnt truly explore.

Also, any recommended stops? Oatman is becoming a yearly mandatory requirement for me😂 🫏
