There's something electric about a solo adventure that changes how you see yourself, and RoseGolden___ just proved it with an epic solo glow-up across Taiwan, Manila, and Seoul. We love that this wasn't just a vacation, it was a full-on discovery mission, and that energy is exactly what we hope every reader takes from it. If you've been on the fence about traveling alone, this trip is your sign to go all in. For anyone wondering how to make the most of a short stop, check out Your 24-Hour Manila Layover Is the Ultimate Mini Adventure for a practical twist on squeezing adventure out of every hour.

The real magic here isn't just the destinations, it's the honest, unfiltered take on each one. Seoul earned a spot in RoseGolden___'s top three favorite cities, and we get it: that city pulses with energy, fashion, and food that makes you feel like the main character of your own story. But then there's Manila, described with a laugh and a "haha" that says everything about travel's unpredictable side. Not every stop has to be perfect to be meaningful. That's the glow-up we're talking about, learning to love the messy, chaotic, hilarious moments that shape your confidence. It's practical growth, not a highlight reel.

So what does this mean for you? First, your first solo trip doesn't have to be a month-long epic, but if you can swing it, the stretch from September to October is a sweet spot for exploring before the holiday rush. Second, don't be afraid to rank your cities honestly. Seoul might be a dream, and Manila might make you laugh, and both experiences are valid. The boldest move is sharing the whole picture, not just the curated version.

Our take is simple: stop waiting for the perfect moment and book that ticket. Whether you end up falling in love with a city or laughing through the chaos, you'll walk away knowing more about who you are when nobody else is there to guide you. RoseGolden___'s honest laugh about Manila is the detail we're holding onto, because the best stories come from the places that surprise you, not the ones that go exactly to plan.

From travel

From the beginning of September to the beginning of October. My first trip completely solo. It was a good time and I learned a lot about myself, especially getting out of my comfort zone.

Seoul definitely in my top 3 favorite cities now. Manila on the other hand... haha but it was still a great experience nonetheless.
