My girlfriend and I are taking our first euro trip together in the end of may of 2026, considering the worlds about to end so why not? lol
we are planning to do Paris - Belgium - Rome and back home in a span of 10 days. I want suggestions on things that we must absolutely not miss out / do, any local cafes/thrift stores/food places we must try, and the gimmecks we must skip. and if you have any suggestions for any cheap accomodations

- Amsterdam - Paris road tripHi All! I want to share my plans of going from Amsterdam to Paris by car, and would love to hear your suggestions, advices. My Gf is coming and I want to make a small 4 days road trip to Paris as she never been in Europe before! The plan is to leave around 10am from Amsterdam, stop in Beautiful Ghent, Lille and go all the way to Paris the same day. I’ve booked 3 nights in Paris and my idea is to explore the city + go to the catacombs. Then the 4th day we suppose yo go back towards Amsterdam, but stopping by for the night in Brussels. - Second Trip to EuropeThing is I want to do an eurotrip. dates would be from March 20 through April 10 countries I’m including in this trip are France Switzerland, and Germany. - Advise - First trip to EuropeHey, I have flights booked for my first Europe trip in June - I’m going with my partner and we are hoping to spend 2/3 months travelling before coming back to Australia. I’m really just looking for advise about going considering what’s happening in the world right now, it’s stressing us out a bit as well as knowing inflation is rising there too and how much more everything is going to cost. We know Europe is already an expensive trip, and are hoping to do it as budget friendly as possible while still seeing iconic places and having memorable experiences. I’m just hoping someone can give some advise on how much (roughly) you may think its going to cost us and if you would still go during these times. We don’t have a full itinerary but roughly outlined - we will fly into London, head to France (short duration as I know they are expensive places) and keep heading to Southern & Eastern countries. Planning to skip Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland due to high costs. (we were hoping to keep it around AUD $20,000 - $25,000 each.)
