First time in Argentina, stick to Buenos Aires or take overnight trips?

Our take

Are you ready for an unforgettable adventure in Argentina? With 10 days in Buenos Aires, you have the perfect opportunity to dive into the vibrant culture, delicious food, and fine wines of the city. But the allure of exploring beyond the capital is strong! Consider a day trip to Tigre or Colonia for a taste of local charm, or venture further to stunning destinations like Iguazu, Mendoza, Bariloche, or Ushuaia.

Heading to Buenos Aires (and South America in general) for roughly 10 days next month.

Two gringos in their 30s, largely focused on good food, good wine, and hitting up a few museums.

Very torn between the idea of leisurely exploring Buenos Aires, maybe a day in Tigre or Colonia, or taking any of these trips:

- Iguazu

- Mendoza

- Bariloche

- Ushuaia

I realize the weather in Bariloche or Ushuaia would obviously not be warm and sunny, but have always been a big fan of dramatic mountain landscapes.

Any recommendations for any of these, or whether sticking to BA would be better?
