I started screenshotting EVERYTHING before trips, saved me twice already

Our take

Traveling can be unpredictable, but I’ve found an easy solution that has saved me from stress more than once: screenshotting everything before my trips! By capturing boarding passes, hotel bookings, ID documents, airport directions, and important emails, I’m always prepared. The first time it saved me was during a chaotic airport visit with terrible WiFi; while others struggled, I breezed through with my screenshots. The second time, my hotel couldn’t find my booking, but my screenshot confirmed everything quickly.

Not even kidding, this has saved me more stress than any travel hack I’ve tried.

Before every trip now I screenshot:

  • boarding passes
  • hotel bookings
  • visa or ID docs
  • airport directions and gate info
  • important emails

First time it saved me, airport WiFi was terrible and my airline app would not load. Everyone else was stuck refreshing, I just opened the screenshot and walked through.

Second time, my hotel could not find my booking. Showed them the screenshot with confirmation and dates and it got sorted in a couple minutes.

It sounds really simple but relying on internet or apps while traveling is way riskier than people think.

Now I just dump everything into a folder on my phone before leaving.
