ISO itinerary and transport advice for a trip to Croatia

Hey everyone! I'm excited to share that I’m planning a week-long trip to Croatia to celebrate my 30th birthday! I’m passionate about nature and want to soak in as much scenic beauty as possible through day trips—nothing too strenuous, though, as I won’t be doing extensive hikes. With a budget in mind, I’m seeking advice on affordable travel options and itineraries. I’m open to visiting during the off-season, ideally by autumn. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Hi all! I am based in the US and have always wanted to go to Croatia. I’ve decided to celebrate my 30th birthday there. I plan to go for a week.
I’m very into nature and would like to see a lot of scenery that could be done in day trips, I won’t be able to do any extensive hikes or backpacking.
I don’t have a lot of disposable income so I am looking for advice on how to get there and explore as budget consciously as possible. I have a few months to save and am ok with going during the off season but preferably no later than autumn.
Any suggestions would be very helpful!

- Croatia itinerary doable?I booked a flight to Croatia for 12 days where I land at 4pm in Dubrovnik and fly out at noon so this gives me 10 full days. I don't really have crazy expectations just booked it on a whim, but my logic here is to immediately go to Split from Dubrovnik on arrival day and work my way back to Dubrovnik. So far on my tentative list I have - Split - Hvar - Dubrovnik - Plitvice - Kotor - Mostar I recognize that's a lot and looking to see where I can optimize day trips and also relax or potentially shave time on certain things. I'm pretty well traveled so getting around is not an issue and I'm not a budget traveler so I'm ok in what appears to be pretty overpriced (relatively) places like Old Town Dubrovnik and Hvar. I'm just looking for relaxing beaches, good food and beautiful scenery as I like to photograph. So any recommendations for like overlooks or spots to capture great photography are appreciated. I'm a pretty youthful late 30s so while I'm not trying to party like a 20yr old I'm fine with a little bit of going out and I know Croatia can be big on nightlife so as long as it isn't the equivalent of a college bar I'm ok with nightlife recommendations as well. - Croatia in May: Zagreb, Rijeka, KrkHello! I’m planning a solo long weekend trip for 23-25 May and would love some advice. I’ll fly from Sofia to Zagreb, arriving Saturday around 10:00. Plan is to explore Zagreb a bit, have lunch, then take a bus/train to Rijeka staying there for 2 nights. I’m mainly after coastal vibes: beach promenades, sea air, relaxing walks. Sofia is landlocked and I’m a bit bored of cities/mountains, so the Adriatic is my main draw. Zagreb kind if reminds me of Bratislava where I lived for a bit and maybe it would be interesting? Initially I planned just Rijeka, but Krk island is nearby and more interesting for beaches. I’ve never been to an island before, so I’m considering a day trip. I don’t care about swimming/sunbathing,just walking along the shore. I have a few questions: Is late May suitable for walking on beaches with regular shoes, or are pebble sandals needed? Also, would it be odd/unacceptable to walk with shoes if there are sunbathers? Would you recommend Krk or somewhere like Opatija for better coastal scenery like beaches and hills? I’ll rely on public transport. Are buses the best option between Zagreb, Rijeka, and Krk? My rough plan is like this: Saturday: arrive Zagreb -> Rijeka Sunday: Rijeka + possibly Krk Monday: more Rijeka then Zagreb or straight back to Zagreb (flight at 22:30) Does this sound doable for ~3 days? I’m skipping car rental as I don’t like driving unfamiliar roads. Would it make more sense to skip Zagreb entirely and focus on the coast? - 2 weeks in Croatia in June. Too little time?I'm wanting to take advantage of Juneteenth and 4th of July weekend for a 2 week trip somewhere. I'm kind of set on Croatia because I've never been and thought a coastal destination in Europe in June sounded appealing. Is 2 weeks enough? Should I squeeze in Montenegro? I was thinking Dubrovnik > Split > Hvar > Kotor in no particular order. Seems like from Florida getting to and from Dubrovnik is the easiest route. I'm not a budget traveler (although ideally don't want to pay a ton for flights) and it's definitely not the cheapest option but it seems like it'd be nice to visit. - Croatia travel recs for coupleHello going to Croatia in few months and have this general itinerary planned so far- Dubrovnik —> Korcula —> Hvar —> Split/ plitvice Going with bf both early 30s range. We love to eat, walk around / explore, want to try the best acitivies in area and are open to whatever is unique and best to do in Croatia. We drink but would not want to really party more try cool relaxing spots.
