Kauai, HI 📍
Our take
Kauai, HI, was hands down the most magical trip ever, especially since it was our honeymoon! This was our first adventure in Hawaii, and Poipu Beach was the perfect starting point. We spent 11 incredible nights in a cozy Airbnb, soaking up the island's beauty. From the stunning Tunnels Beach to the breathtaking Napali Coast, every moment was an epic experience. We even spotted an endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal and some adorable sea turtles!

| My most favorite trip ever. This was the first time me or my wife (it was our honeymoon!) had been to Hawaii and I think this was a fantastic first island to visit! We stayed in Poipu Beach in an Airbnb for 11 nights last September. Cannot wait to go back! Pictured is

- Spent a week in Kaua’i (northernmost of the main Hawai’i islands), mostly hikingspent an intense week in Kaua’i for the first time. We’re mostly into hiking and nature, our trip roughly in order of the photos: - backpacking into Waimea canyon (rare waterfalls due to recent rain) - hiking over the top of the Napali cliffs (Nu’alolo-Awa’awapuhi loop) - backpacking to the remote Kalalau beach along the Napali coast with a stop at several waterfalls (pictured is Hanakoa falls). lots of wild goats along the way including this kid! - hiking (more like bushwhacking and river-wading!) to a mystical spot called the Weeping Wall of Mt. - Oahu in AprilJust visited Oahu in Hawaii for the first time. We didn’t expect to like it as much as we did but the scenery is quite impressive. It’s like the tropical version of Iceland with sharp tall mountains next to beaches. The lush landscape with white sand beaches everywhere was beautiful. Favorite and most memorable part was waking up early before sunrise because we were not used to the time zone yet and hiking to the Makapu’u Lighthouse and the Lanikai Pillbox trail both shown in these images. Only drawback to the island is that it’s very far and very expensive. Food on average was just ok. submitted by /u/prime_focus [link] [comments]
