Most social hostel in Dublin?

Our take

Hey everyone! I'm heading to Dublin for a few nights in May and I’m on the lookout for the most social hostels. I’m currently booked at Abbey Court Hostel but I’m having second thoughts after hearing it might not be the best fit for solo travelers. I’ve considered switching to Jacob's Inn since it’s popular, but I’m unsure about its social scene. I’m excited to join pub crawls and explore, especially the queer nightlife. Any recommendations or insights would be greatly appreciated!

hey all!

i'll be visiting dublin for a few nights in may and hoping for some suggestions on the most social hostels as i'm traveling alone for the first time and hoping to make some connections along the way!

i currently have abbey court hostel booked but i'm starting to second guess my decision since i've seen some reviews saying it's not great for solo travelers since it caters more to students/groups.

i've been thinking about spending the extra money and going for Jacob's Inn since that seems to be the most popular, but that seems like it could be a little harder socially as well. i plan to take advantage of any pub crawls or activities offered at the hostels as well. plus i'm queer so i'll be venturing off on my own to gay bars.

I've done research on pretty much all of the hostels in the area lol so any info or recs would be amazing!
