New years in the Philippines

Our take

Hey there! Planning a New Year’s adventure in the Philippines sounds epic! With 16-17 nights, you have plenty of time to explore stunning destinations. El Nido is a must, with its breathtaking lagoons and beaches. Boracay offers vibrant nightlife and gorgeous shores too! While Coron is nearby and beautiful, it does have diving as a main draw. Consider checking out Siargao for its laid-back vibe and surf culture, or Batanes for breathtaking landscapes. For New Year’s Eve, Boracay is a fantastic choice for celebration!

Hello. My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to the Philippines over New Year’s. We have approximately 16-17 nights in total, landing in Manila on the 28th December (early). We defs wanna hit up El Nido and have recently looked into Borocay as well which looks gorgeous. Wondering where else we can go in this time. Obviously considering Coron seeing as it’s close and easy to get to from El Nido, but I’m wondering if it’s too similar to El Nido and Borocay that we won’t have much variety. We’re not particularly into diving which I see is an attraction at Coron. Any other standout islands?

Which out of these three islands should we spend New Year’s Eve as well? And how long would you recommend in each place?

Appreciate any advice! Thanks!
