Personal rule when booking connecting flights
Our take
When booking connecting flights, especially in today's unpredictable travel climate, it’s essential to have personal rules to ensure a smoother journey. For instance, I always aim for a minimum layover of five hours at major airports to account for potential delays. I avoid same-day connections to reduce stress and enhance my travel experience. Additionally, I steer clear of certain airlines that have a history of cancellations.
With short and long haul, budget and major carrier flights being regularly cancelled and/or delayed, what personal rules do you now follow when booking flights that require connections? Minimum 5 hours in major airports? No same day connections? Never fly certain airlines? BTW it’s assuming you fly carryon only
