Photos from a 16 day road trip around Crete, Greece in May

Our take

Join us on an unforgettable journey through the stunning landscapes of Crete, Greece! In May 2023, my husband and I eloped and celebrated our honeymoon in the charming city of Chania. We embarked on an epic 16-day adventure, exploring the western side of the island from our cozy base in Goulediana, and soaking up the sun at Falasarna Beach. With breathtaking hikes, crystal-clear waters, and mouthwatering local cuisine, Crete is a must-visit for anyone seeking a slower-paced vacation filled with beauty and joy.

In May 2023, my husband and I eloped and honeymooned in Chania. We rented a car and drove all around the western side of the island, starting in Chania, then basing ourselves in a tiny village called Goulediana, and finally ending our trip at Falasarna Beach. We also spent a day in Athens before flying home.

Happy to share more details and recommendations if anyone is interested! I highly recommend visiting Crete if you're interested in hiking, swimming, or taking a slower paced vacation where you're just appreciating gorgeous scenery and eating good food. The landscapes there are really unlike anything I've ever seen.
