Place in India that feels like an old poem stuck in time

Our take

Nestled in the serene hills of India, Landour feels like an old poem, enchanting and timeless. With its misty days, quiet roads, and charming little treks that lead to hidden cafés, this magical place offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A mere 6-7 hour journey from Delhi makes it the perfect weekend getaway. My three-day adventure in April was a soothing retreat, and the memories linger, especially the warmth of Bakehouse.

There are some places that always stay with you. You go back to them in your memories, keep replaying every moment you spent there, and eventually that place becomes your calm.
Landour is a place that feels like an old poem. Impossibly gentle on the soul with its misty days, quiet roads, little treks that lead to hidden cafés, and untouched by the rush of the people below.

I went there in April and stayed for 3 days. It was a quick getaway but oh-so-calming.
The travel time from Delhi is just 6-7 hours so it’s feasible over the weekends.

I think a part of me will always stay in the streets of Landour and it’s Bakehouse.

The pictures are from the same place and the beauty is unfiltered.
