Proof of hotel reservations for visa application

Our take

If you're applying for a tourist visa to China and have encountered issues with your hotel reservation proof, you're not alone! Despite booking through Trip.com and submitting your e-receipt, the embassy has rejected your documentation. Unfortunately, both Trip.com and your hotel are unable to provide an official proof of hotel reservation. This situation can be frustrating, but there are steps you can take to resolve it.

I’m trying to apply for a tourist visa to china, flights and hotel have been booked, all I need now is a Chinese visa. I booked my hotel with my flights on Trip.com and I submitted an e-receipt of my flight and hotel (including the hotel name and check in check out dates), but the embassy still rejected it. I have contacted Trip.com and the hotel themselves, they said that they cannot issue me a proof of hotel reservation. What should I do?
