Salkantay trek vs Ausungate(mainly for which has the best views??)
Our take
Are you torn between the Salkantay Trek and the Ausangate Trek when it comes to breathtaking views? Both treks promise stunning landscapes, but which one truly delivers the most epic vistas? If you’re planning a week in Peru, you might wonder if it’s worth the trip or if a shorter adventure in Guatemala would be better. Additionally, many travelers are concerned about animal welfare on these treks. Have you tried either trek with a guide but without animal assistance? Share your experiences!
Both of these seem beautiful but can anyone tell me their experience?
And is it worth going to peru if I’m only going for about a week? I don’t wanna miss out so I’m wondering if I need to save it for a longer trip and go somewhere like Guatemala for this short trip.
side note: has anyone done either of these treks with guides, but without animals? Apparently a lot of the animals used often are abused and have early deaths so I would like to avoid contributing to that directly, but maybe I just need to travel somewhere else then.
