San Diego is calling, and with your furry best friends in tow, it's shaping up to be an absolutely epic honeymoon adventure! Leaving your doggos behind? Never! This is your chance to create unforgettable memories with your whole squad. September in San Diego sounds like pure sunshine and good vibes, and we're here to help you find that perfect beachy escape that’s as lively and welcoming as your two life-of-the-party pups, while also being mindful of your reserved friend. Get ready to dive into a honeymoon that’s all about shared joy, exploration, and soaking up every single moment.

When it comes to finding your honeymoon sweet spot, San Diego offers a fantastic spectrum of dog-friendly beaches that go beyond just the famous "Dog Beach." While Ocean Beach Dog Beach is a classic for a reason – it’s a true haven for unleashed energy and social butterflies – it's just the beginning! Consider areas like Coronado's Dog Beach, a beautiful stretch where your pups can frolic. For a more relaxed vibe, check out Fiesta Island in Mission Bay. It has vast open spaces and is generally less crowded, perfect for your reserved pup to enjoy some leash-free freedom in a calmer setting. Many other San Diego beaches have specific hours or sections where dogs are welcome, so doing a quick check of local regulations before you go will ensure everyone has a blast. The key is to embrace the adventure of discovery and find the spots that best suit your dogs' personalities and your honeymoon dreams.

Beyond the sandy shores, San Diego is brimming with opportunities for adventure that you can absolutely share with your canine companions. La Jolla is a must-visit for snorkeling and kayaking, and while your dogs might not be joining you in the water, the surrounding areas offer stunning coastal walks and viewpoints where they can soak in the salty air and the incredible scenery. Imagine post-kayak strolls with your pups, the ocean breeze in their fur! For golf enthusiasts, San Diego boasts some championship courses, and many resorts are surprisingly accommodating to pets, offering dog-friendly amenities. And when it comes to whale watching or deep-sea fishing, some charter companies are beginning to welcome well-behaved, leashed dogs, turning a thrilling ocean excursion into a family affair. Remember, the goal is to infuse every part of your honeymoon with that signature San Diego glow, creating a journey that feels uniquely yours and undeniably joyful. This is your main character honeymoon, and with your amazing squad by your side, it's bound to be unstoppable!

We are headed to the San Diego area for our honeymoon in September and couldn’t leave are doggos behind!

My question is which area should we stay? Are all the beaches around there dog friendly or should we stick to the Dog Beach? We’ve got two life of the party dogs and one reserved that will probably be on a leash regardless unless we find a place not super busy.
