Share your stories and tips on how to feel more at ease while embracing this exciting adventure. You've got this, and we’re all in it together!

Hey everyone, I hope y'all are doing alright.

I'm writing here cause I'd like to share with a worry that's on my mind. I'm travelling with a friend this summer, and since she's on a VERY tight budget, we decided to stay in a hostel with a dormitory. I told her that I didn't want to, because I'm scared to sleep around people I don't know. We booked our trip anyway, but I'm actually TERRIFIED. I'm scared that one of my roommates might steal something from me when I'm away or when I'm asleep, or being attacked or something. I don't trust people easily and I'm very scared.

I wanted to know your experience if you've ever been in a dormitory before and if it's really risky or if I should calm down a bit
