Schengen EES System
Our take
Hey there, fellow adventurers! 🌍 If you're traveling to Paris on April 8th and exiting the Schengen zone from Athens on May 14th, it’s important to know about the new EES system. This system means passport stamps may no longer be issued. To ensure you get an exit stamp from Athens, consider asking the officer in Paris not to stamp your passport and check if Athens officers will still provide stamps in May. It’s essential to have that documentation for future travels! Safe travels! ✈️
Hey guys, I am travelling to Paris on 8th of April and exiting Schengen zone on 14th of May from Athens.I have read EU will fully implement EES system and will no longer stamp the passports. What should I do to make sure I have an exit stamp from Athens? I am from a third world country and need visa for UK/US and other developed nations and not having an exit stamp can cause problems for me in future… Should I ask the paris officer to not stamp my passport? Or will Athens officers still have stamps with them in May?
