Hey everyone!

2 min readtravel

This Scotland honeymoon itinerary is giving us major wanderlust! Planning a dream trip like this is all about balancing those epic sights with making sure you actually get to soak it all in. We love that the planner is thinking about doubling drive times – Scotland’s roads are definitely an adventure in themselves, and you’ll want to stop for all those breathtaking views! Edinburgh is a fantastic starting point, giving you plenty of time to explore its magic before you hit the road for the next big adventure.

The journey to the Isle of Skye is where the real exploration kicks off, and it’s totally achievable to make it an epic travel day. Skye is a place where you can truly feel like the main character of your own adventure, with its dramatic landscapes and hidden gems. From there, heading to the Orkney Islands is a bold move, but think of the incredible history and unique vibe waiting for you! These islands are practically bursting with ancient stories, and spending a couple of days there will give you a real taste of their magic.

The push towards Inverness and the Cairngorms National Park after Orkney is ambitious, but with that adventurous spirit, it’s definitely doable! Imagine exploring the wild beauty of the Cairngorms – it’s pure sunshine and energy waiting to be discovered. While it might feel packed, the key is to embrace the journey as part of the honeymoon glow. This itinerary is less about ticking boxes and more about creating unforgettable memories with your favorite squad, making every moment count on this incredible Scottish escapade.

Hi everyone! I’m starting planning my honeymoon in Scotland and wanted some advice. I’ve heard that whatever the google maps driving time is, I should probably double it in Scotland. I’ve tried to give myself plenty of transit time to see and explore on travel days. Does this look realistic or will I be missing a lot in these locations?

Day 1: home to Edinburgh (flight & train)
