Scottish Men Traveling Across the States - Recommendations please

Our take

Hey there, adventurous souls! Two Scottish friends are gearing up for an epic RV journey across the United States this August, and they need your recommendations. Starting in San Francisco, they plan to hit Las Vegas, Rachel, and Salt Lake City, but they’re eager to explore beyond that. With a passion for cultural experiences—especially local food, art, and religion—they’re looking for hidden gems and off-the-beaten-path adventures. Texas is on their radar, and they dream of ending in D.C.

Hello!

We are two Scottish friends looking to travel across the United States in an RV during August, possibly over a two week duration.

We have visited the USA twice before, but only San Fran and NYC/NJ. We are not interested in returning to the Tristate area.

We are certain we would like to commence in San Fran, then travel across to Vegas, Rachel, and Salt lake. Beyond that we are unsure which path to take and are seeking recommendations.

We like the idea of visiting Texas, and ending in DC, but we are open to ideas. We are interested in cultural experiences (particularly local food, art, and religion), and have travelled most of Europe together. We are very much open to less touristy things.

Any proposals welcome!

Slàinte Mhath!
