Seat doesn't exist - Lufthansa

Our take

Hey fellow travelers! I’m reaching out because I’m facing a quirky situation with my Lufthansa booking for a family flight from Toronto to Frankfurt. My husband and daughter are seated together, but my assigned seat appears to be a mystery—it doesn't exist according to the seating map! I’m listed in row 44, yet the map only shows 42 rows. Since it’s booked through Lufthansa but operated by Air Canada, I’m curious if anyone else has encountered this.

I have a flight booked with my family of 3, Toronto to Frankfurt. On the manage booking portal for Lufthansa, my husband and daughter are seated together, but where I'm seated doesn't exist according to the seating map. It says I'm in row 44, but there are only 42 rows on the map. This was booked in Lufthansa, but is operated by Air Canada.

Has this happened to anyone? Should I be worried? Is it basically forcing me to pay for specific seats?
