Our Take: Uncovering an Epic Ocean Adventure!

Wow, this is such an epic quest! Diving into family history is like embarking on your own amazing adventure, and this journey aboard the Arosa Kulm in 1956 sounds like it was a seriously big deal for Paul Brummer. Imagine setting sail from Europe to Canada, a whole new world waiting on the other side! It’s awesome that we’ve got this incredible timeline of his voyage: leaving Switzerland on July 7th, catching that ship from Le Havre on the 11th, and finally landing in Quebec on the 21st. That’s a whole lot of ocean to cross, and you can totally feel the energy of that transatlantic trip!

It’s so cool that Paul was 20 years old and traveling with a friend, Ruckstuhl. Being a machinist, or "Dreher," back then meant he was probably ready for some hands-on adventures in his new Canadian home. Even though he was battling seasickness (we’ve all been there, right?!), the spirit of adventure must have been buzzing! We’re sending out all our positive energy and sunshine vibes to help find those missing pieces of the puzzle. The dream is to uncover photos from this specific crossing, passenger lists that could shine a light on who else was on board, or even connect with families who shared a similar journey.

This is exactly the kind of story that makes us feel unstoppable! If you or anyone in your squad has any memories, photos, or even just a feeling about this 1956 Arosa Kulm voyage, please share! Connecting with others who might have had family on that same crossing is like finding your own travel crew. Let’s help this explorer complete their mission and bring Paul Brummer's transatlantic adventure to life! Every little detail helps create a bigger, brighter picture of this incredible journey.
