Seoul with Toddlers: Packing Tips for a Smooth Family Adventure

Hey adventurers! Traveling with little ones can feel like a whole new quest, and it’s totally normal to feel a little flutter of nerves before your first big family trip. But guess what? With a sprinkle of smart planning and a whole lot of positive energy, you can totally rock this Seoul adventure with your kiddos! It sounds like you’ve already got some awesome gear lined up – a car seat for your one-year-old and a CARES strap for your three-year-old are fantastic starts. And a foldable cabin stroller? Genius move! Using that stroller for your toddler and a carrier for your littlest explorer is a brilliant way to keep everyone comfortable and mobile.

Now, let's talk luggage! The key here is to pack smart, not heavy. Think of your luggage as your trusty sidekick, not a burden. For a trip that includes public transport and travel to Jeju and Busan with those 15kg limits, aiming for one checked bag per adult and a couple of carry-ons is usually a sweet spot. This way, you have enough space for essentials without feeling overwhelmed. Remember, you’ll likely be carrying diaper bags and other kiddo necessities, so less is more when it comes to your main luggage. For those car seats, consider a car seat backpack for one child, which can free up your hands immensely, and a strap that attaches to your carry-on for the other. This will make navigating airports and train stations so much smoother, allowing you to focus on the fun rather than juggling gear.

Embrace the spirit of adventure, and remember that flexibility is your superpower on this trip! Sometimes the best discoveries happen when things don't go exactly as planned. Pack versatile clothing items that can be layered, and don't forget a few favorite comfort items for the little ones. Think of this as a grand exploration, and you and your family are the main characters! With a positive outlook and these packing tips, you’re setting yourselves up for an epic journey filled with sunshine and unforgettable memories. Get ready to explore Seoul and beyond with your amazing squad!

Hi! It’s our first time traveling with kiddos and we are feeling quite nervous about it. We are taking a car seat for my 1 yr old and got a CARES strap for my 3 year old. We are taking a stroller that is foldable to fit into a cabin. I’m hoping to use the stroller for my toddler and wear my 1 year old during the trip.
