Similar to Galapagos?

Our take

Just returned from an unforgettable adventure in Ecuador, especially the Galapagos, where I fell in love with the incredible freedom and trust of the wildlife. It’s amazing how you can step over sleeping sea lions without them even blinking! Interacting with animals in their natural habitat was such a thrill, especially when playful sea lions joined us while snorkeling. Now, I'm on the lookout for similar destinations. Any recommendations for my next adventure where I can connect with nature and wildlife?

I am sitting at the airport after a few weeks in Ecuador and especially Galapagos. I have so much fallen in love with how free and trusting these animals are there. You can litterally step over the sleeping sea lions and they wont blink an eye.

I love being close to animals and interact witg them (without interfereing their space. On Galapagos sealions would come up to us when we snorkeled and played with us).

Question: Any similar place to go next?

Edit: We were with a certified Galapagos-guide all the time and no rules were broken. But if you need to board your speedboat and there is a sealion on the dock you simply need to follow the guide stepping over that sealion.
