Solo travel: Montreal or Vancouver?
Our take
Hey there, fellow adventurer! Planning a long weekend in Canada sounds epic! Both Montreal and Vancouver offer unique cultural experiences and stunning outdoor opportunities. Montreal, with its vibrant French flair, is perfect for exploring rich history and lively neighborhoods, while Vancouver boasts breathtaking nature and proximity to hiking spots. You can definitely squeeze in a day for an outdoor adventure in either city! As a solo traveler, I found both places welcoming and full of energy.
Hello! I am planning a long weekend in Canada in July (Thursday - Monday) and I was thinking of visiting Montreal or Vancouver.
The goal is to see a little bit of the culture and the outdoor experience Canada is famous for.
Which one would you recommend? Can I squeeze in a day for a hike?
I’d like to know what was your experience as a solo traveler in one of those cities. I know Montreal is more “French”, but is this enough to visit it?
