South Dakota (and a bit of Nebraska)
Our take
Just wrapped up an epic Spring Break adventure to South Dakota from Kansas City! The drive through NW Nebraska was absolutely gorgeous, with vast prairies and hardly another car in sight for hours. I spent some time in Rapid City, indulging in delicious Japanese and Nepali cuisine. The highlights included stunning visits to Custer State Park, the Black Hills, and iconic sites like Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial.

| Did a lil Spring Break trip to South Dakota from KC this week. Gorgeous drive through NW Nebraska. Was basically the only car on the road for hours at a time driving through the beautiful (and vast) prairie. Stayed in Rapid City and enjoyed some lovely Japanese and Nepali food. Pictures are from Custer State Park, Black Hills (Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial,) Wind Cave + Badlands NPs, Wall Drug and some other photos taken on the drive. Although the 10 some hour drive on the I-90 and I-29 South is pretty boring, there are practically no speed traps at night. AMA! [link] [comments] |
