Spent an afternoon in Carpi Italy (near Modena) - way more interesting than I expected
Our take
Last April, I embarked on a spontaneous adventure from Modena to Carpi, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise! Just a quick 20-minute train ride led me to one of Italy's longest Renaissance squares, a stunning basilica, and a charming atmosphere free from the usual tourist hustle. As a photographer, I was in paradise, capturing breathtaking shots in the perfect weather. The local cuisine was a treat, too! I can’t help but wonder why more people haven’t discovered this hidden gem.
| | Was staying in Modena last April and had an extra day, so I took the 20-minute train to Carpi on a whim. It has one of the longest Renaissance squares in Italy, a gorgeous basilica, and hardly any obvious tourists. As a photographer, I was in heaven and got some amazing shots.
