Split vs Prague for couples trip (can't decide)

Prague, with its stunning architecture and rich history, offers a bustling atmosphere filled with delicious food and drink, perfect for exploring with friends. On the other hand, Split invites you to unwind along the beautiful coast, providing a serene backdrop for leisurely strolls and relaxed mornings.
Hi! My partner (32M) and I (31F) are stuck between two very different trips and can’t decide. We’re looking for a getaway for wandering / walking around, good food + wine/beer, pretty surroundings, slow mornings with interesting days. We're not too particular (or decisive) but love a new city/restaurant/sites to explore etc. Both trips cost the same for us and have gorge places we're considering staying at, so that comparison isn't a big part of it. It's mostly length of time, affordability once we're there, and what's worth it this time of year.
Option 1: Prague (May 3–6, 4 nights)
- We’d be meeting friends there (but will also see them back home soon, so not a huge factor)
- Seems more to do and cheaper once there?
- Slight concern: wondering if it’ll feel more busy/touristy
Option 2: Split (Apr 26–May 1, 6 nights)
- Longer, more relaxed trip
- Old town by the sea seems lovely but is it too long for this city?
- Slight concern: been told it's not as visually “beautiful” as Prague/other cities + weather might be mixed
We were leaning for the longer trip in Split but are worried we might regret not seeing the "nicer" city with more to do.
Would love any thoughts from people who’ve been to either (especially for early spring timing).

- Complete analysis paralysis picking first Europe vacation!My significant other and I are planning to travel to Europe for 10 days. Neither of us have been before and I have narrowed our options down to a few different trips but over the course of researching have made it much more difficult to decide where to go, rather than easier. We are looking for an area that has a great food/wine and or cocktail scene, hiking, swimming in the form of lakes or beaches. Good architecture to explore is a plus but not as much of a necessity. Currently I have narrowed our choices down to Andalusia area of Spain, going to Seville, Grenada, and a beach town such as Marbella or Málaga. Salzburg and surrounding area with 2 of the 3 Prague, Vienna, or Budapest. Portugal from Lisbon to Porto. Slovenia with possibly going south to a beach in Croatia. - Need help choosing nature spots in Central Europe!Hi all, I am currently planning a solo trip to Central Europe for May (I am located in the US). Earlier this week, I posted an itinerary that got some traction, and I made some revisions based on the feedback, shown below. Prague (3 nights) -> Munich (2 nights) -> ??? + Salzburg? (5 nights) -> Vienna/Bratislava day trip (4 nights) I am debating where to go for an alpine retreat/sightseeing for 5 nights in the middle of my trip, whether that is in southern Germany or in Tyrol. I am assuming I would need to spend at least a night in Salzburg to get to Vienna the next day. Based on some of the suggestions from the last post, I was thinking 2 nights in Berchtesgaden, 2 nights in Zell am See, and 1 night in Salzburg, but I am very open to any suggestions. Also, any info on where to eat, what to do, where to stay, or any other small tips for the other cities is greatly appreciated. I have traveled a bunch before with friends and family, but this is my first time alone. I have already booked all the hostels for the other cities.
