Travel plan for Indonesia (Sumatra and Java) in october - question about the weather

Our take

Planning an adventurous trip to Sumatra and Java in early October sounds epic! As you prepare for three weeks of exploration, it's totally understandable to be concerned about the weather, especially when it comes to capturing stunning photos. While both September and October can bring clouds, October typically sees a gradual transition into drier conditions, which could mean a bit more sunshine for your photography. So, gear up and get ready to chase those golden rays while soaking in all the vibrant experiences!

I'm planning a trip to Sumatra and Java at the beginning of october for 3 weeks, but I'm worried about the weather. Not so much about rain, but about the overcast sky, since I'll bring my camera gear and I'd like to get as much sun as possible for nice pictures.

I know there are going to be a lot of clouds anyways, but is there a significant difference between september and october?
