Hey fellow adventurers! 🌟 I'm gearing up for an authentic journey through East Flores, starting in Maumere, then heading to Larantuka and Pulau Lembata. I'm considering exploring by scooter, despite being a beginner rider. I plan to take my time, but I'm curious about the road conditions. Is this route doable for someone new to scootering? Would it be smart to hire a driver for the longer stretches and rent a scooter locally for exploration? Any real experiences or tips would be super helpful. Thanks!
Hello, I’m looking for an authentic adventure and planning a trip to Flores (Maumere and then to Larantuka and finally Pulau Lembata). Thinking about doing it by scooter. I don’t have much experience riding scooters, but I’m not in a rush and can take it slow. Has anyone done something similar or can tell me what to expect?
How are the roads ? Is it doable for a beginner? Anything else I should know?
Would it also be an option to get a driver for the long drives and then rent a scooter locally to explore more?
